HFFS / VFFS Roll Stock
Our rollstock is used on nearly every type of horizontal form/fill/seal (HFFS) and vertical form/fill/seal (VFFS) machinery.
Many machine manufacturers recommend our rollstock because it performs consistently on packaging lines — without constant adjustments or high scrap rates.
Vertical form/fill/seal (VFFS) packaging films
The VFFS process typically consists of rollstock being formed into a tube or pouch shape, sealed on the bottom and the back, filled with product through the top, and finally sealed on the top. Our VFFS rollstock performs reliably, allowing you to run your VFFS lines with less downtime.
Our packaging films for VFFS equipment are designed to have excellent sealing properties and stiffness.
Horizontal form/fill/seal (HFFS) packaging films
The HFFS process is typically more complex than VFFS and varies more from one product to the next, but it utilizes the same concept of forming rollstock into a package which is partially formed and sealed, filled inline, and then fully sealed in one automatic process.
Our packaging films for HFFS equipment are designed for excellent machinability and consistency, improving efficiency, reducing material scrap waste and downtime.
Certain HFFS machines are referred to as flow wrappers. These are commonly used for products such as bars. The product enters the flow wrapper, gets snugly wrapped by packaging film, and is sealed on each side in addition to a horizontal back seal.
